Lanette is a homeless veteran living in her car in Inglewood. When she got out of the military, Lanette returned to Compton to reconnect with her family. The structure that Lanette learned in the military made it hard for her to adjust to civilian life.
Lanette has PTSD serving in two tours in Iraq. She was a hospital corpsman and believed that Marines couldn't die. Lanette says witnessing the death of Marines does something to a soldier's soul.
She started to smoke Spice to help deal with the PTSD, but eventually, her family asked her to leave because she was using the drug. Her only choice was to live in her car.
Lanette is full of life yet because of PTSD and a drug addiction, she is vulnerable out on the streets. The back window of her car was missing she says as a result of a gang shooting.
Somewhere along the way we failed Lanette. We must be able to provide veterans with the support they need before they end up living in a car or worse.
Angelenos can help end homelessness this March 7th. Vote YES on Measure H to help end homelessness for 45,000 families and individuals across Los Angeles County within the next five years. It will also prevent homelessness for 30,000 families and individuals over the same time period, including women and children, veterans, seniors, foster youth, and survivors of domestic violence. AI 2027 depicts a possible future where artificial intelligence radically transforms the world in just a few intense years. It’s based on detailed expert forecasts — but how much of it will actually happen? Are we really racing towards a choice between a planet controlled by the elite, or one where humans have lost control entirely?
My takeaway? Loss of control, racing scenarios, and concentration of power are all concerningly plausible, and among the most pressing issues the world faces.
Check out the video and the resources below, judge the scenario for yourself, and let me know in the comments: how realistic is this? What are you still confused about? What makes you feel skeptical? What do you think we can actually do about this?

DONNER HUSH-X Electric Guitar
Japan Amazon 15% off DOTD Special Offer
Discounted Price: ￥33983
https://amzn.to/40nQTxd

About Blur:
Blur were formed in 1989 by Damon Albarn, Graham Coxon, Alex James and Dave Rowntree and signed with Food/EMI the same year. Announcing their arrival with debut album Leisure in 1991, Blur continued to revolutionise the sound of English popular music with second release Modern Life Is Rubbish (1993). Five successive UK #1 albums followed - with Parklife (1994) and The Great Escape (1995) helping to propel the band to mass popularity in the UK and beyond. The eponymous Blur was released in 1997 and seventh album Think Tank (2003) was Blur’s first as a three-piece after the temporary departure of founding guitarist Graham Coxon.
Twenty one years after the release of their debut album, 2012 saw Blur 21: The Box, the band's body of work compiled and gathered together into one box. Their most recent release as a four-piece, the critically acclaimed chart-topping album The Magic Whip (2015), started life in Hong Kong when the band had an unexpected break in touring in May 2013.

Murray Siple's feature-length documentary follows a group of homeless men who have combined bottle picking with the extreme sport of racing shopping carts down the steep hills of North Vancouver. This subculture depicts street life as much more than the stereotypes portrayed in mainstream media. The film takes a deep look into the lives of the men who race carts, the adversity they face and the appeal of cart racing despite the risk. Shot in high-definition and featuring tracks from Black Mountain, Ladyhawk, Vetiver, Bison, and Alan Boyd of Little Sparta.
Directed by Murray Siple - 2008 | 59 min

I first came across this hauntingly beautiful melody on TikTok, and it has stayed with me ever since. Its dark atmosphere and gripping tone left a lasting impression. That’s why I set out to create a piano arrangement: one that stays true to the original by capturing not only the vocals, but also the strings and subtle brass. I hope you enjoyed my version and feel like I did it justice. If you're interested in more of my arrangements, as well as tutorials and commentary, feel free to follow me!
