This isn’t about nostalgia or saying “old games were better” for no reason. It’s about design choices, risk, progression, atmosphere, and why racing games today don’t hit the same way they used to.

ورَامَةٍ ولَعْلَعِ
مِنْ قَلْبِ صَبٍّ مُوْجَعِ
سَكْرانَ وَجْدٍ لا يَعِيْ
تَرَاهُ ما بَيْنَ الحُلَلْ
جَريحَ أَسْيافِ المُقَلْ
فَارْفُقْ بِهِ ولا تَسَلْ
عَنْ قَلْبِهِ المُضَيَّعِ
وَدَّ الحِمَىٰ فأَخْلَصَا
إذْ حَقُّهُ قَدْ حَصْحَصَا

جَوَابَ ثَبْتٍ أَرْوَعِ
ولا تُوَافِقْ مَنْ غَوَىٰ
وقُلْ بأَنَّ ذَا القُوَىٰ
حَقًّا عَلَى العَرْشِ اسْتَوَىٰ
كما أَرَادَ فَاسْمَعِ
وَهْوَ تَعَالَىٰ في السَّما
عَالٍ ومَعْنَى ﴿أَيْنَمَا﴾
بِغَيْرِ كَيْفٍ لا كَمَا
يَخْطُرُ للمُبْتَدِعِ
مَنْ قاسَهُ مِنَ البَشَرْ
بِخَلْقِهِ فَقَدْ كَفَرْ

أَمْرَ الهَوَىٰ المُتَّبَعِ

The Riyadh Metro is a driverless train network located in Saudi Arabia's capital, Riyadh, and is currently the world's longest driverless metro system. Stretching across 176.5 kilometers, the metro features six lines, 85 stations, and seven depots, with a total cost of $27 billion. The system includes 338 train cars and is managed through five train movement centers. As Saudi Arabia's first underground railway project, the Riyadh Metro is also the second metro system in the country. It offers a standardized design for its train cars, which feature First Class, Family Class, and Single Class areas, as well as wheelchair spaces. The trains are equipped with a Passenger Information Display & Announcement System and dynamic route map displays above each door. The metro aims to reduce traffic congestion, improve air quality, and meet the needs of Riyadh's growing population. Bechtel has played a significant role in the construction of this ambitious project.

Jeneen and her two children live in a tent community in Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada. The cause of their homelessness is high cost of living in Northern Canada, not wanting to burden relatives, and needing to be close to community services.
Often people ask "why don't their relatives help?", which I normally ask "how was your last Thanksgiving - drama free?". The point is more often than not living with a family member is rather uncomfortable. Imagine an "extra" family living with you indefinitely and without their own income! Rather quickly it becomes a burden, and most people these days just don't have the space and income to take care of another family.
Jeneen seems to be making the best of it, for now! This is not camping - it is homeless! And winter is fast approaching.

There's a big difference between living in an RV homeless and van life. Actual homelessness is the absence of choice. Lux is 19 years old. She has been homeless since the age of 16. Lux doesn't live in an RV because it's cool or to save money. She doesn't have money to rent an apartment, so for the millions of vehicle residents and mobile homeless, they don't have a choice. This is the difference between homelessness and a nomadic lifestyle.
I cannot imagine the abuse and fear a young girl at 16 experiences from life on the streets. You must read between words when listening to a person's story. There are years of trauma buried deep down inside.
A large majority of homeless youth are never even reported missing. They are throwaways, not runaways. Lux shares that her family situation was unhealthy.
As a minor, Lux first lived homeless in a tent but eventually got an RV. I am not sure the RV runs, but it's much better than a tent. Sadly, the area where Lux and other vehicle residents live is scheduled for a homeless sweep. The criminalization of homelessness continues to grow in cities all over America.
Lux shares that she was assigned a housing counselor, who told Lux she was on a housing waiting list, but the person left the service provider, and it turns out Lux was never placed on a housing waiting list. This kind of runaround happens often. Homeless services are filled with layers of bureaucracy that often hurt efforts to help people.
The lack of affordable housing is the leading cause of homelessness. As rents skyrocket, remember: a $100 increase in median rent is associated with a 9% increase in homelessness. Sadly, there is insufficient support to fix the affordable housing crisis or get homeless people the help they need, but you can change that. Please educate yourself and those around you, and PLEASE get politically active.

About Invisible People
There is a direct correlation between what the general public perceives about homelessness and how it affects policy change. Most people blame homelessness on the person experiencing it instead of the increasing shortage of affordable housing, lack of employment, childhood trauma, lack of a living wage, or the countless reasons that put a person at risk. This lack of understanding creates a dangerous cycle of misperception that leads to the inability to effectively address the root causes of homelessness.
We imagine a world where everyone has a place to call home. Each day, we work to fight homelessness by giving it a face while educating individuals about the systemic issues that contribute to its existence. Through storytelling, education, news, and activism, we are changing the narrative on homelessness.
This isn’t just talk. Our groundbreaking educational content reaches millions of people every month. Our real and unfiltered stories of homelessness shatter stereotypes, demand attention and deliver a call-to-action that is being answered by governments, major brands, nonprofit organizations, and everyday citizens just like you.
However, there is more work to be done on the road ahead. Homelessness is undoubtedly one of our biggest societal issues today and will only continue to grow if we don’t take action now.

Getting to ride a 1000cc Superbike at speed it pretty unreal. The BMW S1000RR used at California Superbike School can apparently hit 107mph in first gear...
I traveled to Willow Springs International Raceway outside of LA to attend the famous California Superbike School. This school is a staple in the motorcycle community with over 40 years of experience and a globally renown curriculum created by Keith Code. It's a pretty good deal for a day on track with access to their fleet of S1000RRs plus amazing instructors, so I'd say any motorcyclist should do it at least once. I've also spoken with a few MotoAmerica racers who've leveraged the schools more advanced curriculum to shave time off their laps.
